[BL-OR-5] Module (Day) 3 of OR-5000 Operational Resilience Expert Implementer

When you are attending Module (Day) 3 of the OR-5000 course, this is the detailed course curriculum.  This module is available in two 3-hour online sessions or one-day onsite.

This blog details how each module would allow the participants who had completed the first two modules (one and two) to systematically operationalise the OR concepts as part of the framework development.  Modules 3 and 4 are designed for the appointed OR team leader to start and manage the OR project or program.

From an assessment perspective, how the candidate can prepare for the Qualifying Operational Resilience Certified Expert (ORCE) examination after the course is also elaborated.  As for overseas participants attending the online course, E-proctoring will be conducted on a scheduled date.

Description of Day 3 [Module 3] Course

IC_BL-OR-5_Module 3

Module 3 (Blended with two 3-hour online sessions) or Day 3 (Onsite) of the course consists of implementing the operational resilience program and the building blocks needed to support the operational resilience framework.

Module 1 and Module 2

The previous two modules (Module 1 and Module 2) that you have or will be attending are designed to equip you with the "Know" competency and the "Do" competency, which is to implement OR at the business unit level. This will form the "Implement" Stage of the OR Roadmap.

It starts with understanding the concept, the requirement of the OR framework to operationalise the OR framework, and the final building of the supporting pillars for the OR program.

Module 3 and Module 4

Completing the final two modules will equip the participant with the "Manage" competency. Module 3 and Module 4 are set to learn how your organisation's OR programs (the building blocks) are synchronized to support the OR program.

It is the culmination of the OR-5000 course, where participants must put all their learning from the past two modules (one and two) into practice. They must work and analyze the requirements and start building the operational resilience framework for your organisation.

The participants are expected to walk through the stages of the "Plan" phase of the OR planning methodology. Each stage is critical to ensuring that the start of the OR project is adequately set up.
