CERTIFICATION COURSES

DRP-200 IT Disaster Recovery Planner

COMPETENCY LEVEL: KNOW

This 8-hour self-paced eLearning course on IT Disaster Recovery (IT DR) Planning Fundamentals is designed for individuals who want to develop a strong foundational understanding of IT DRP principles and practices.

This course provides a foundational understanding of IT DR planning, standardizing terminology and processes for its implementation as a project. It covers key considerations for IT DR planning, including establishing a project steering committee. It explores the fundamentals of IT DR and BCM, the need for disaster recovery, the interrelationship between BCM and CM disciplines, the DR planning methodology, preparing the organization for a DR project, and identifying and evaluating IT and infrastructure risks.

DRP-300 IT Disaster Recovery Implementer

COMPETENCY LEVEL: DO

This course consists of one 8-hour eLearning + two 3-hour online workshops and is an intermediate IT Disaster Recovery course incorporating the DRP-200 syllabus on its first day.

It is best suited for IT DR coordinators who want to learn the theory and practical approach to IT DR Planning. Attending the course does not require experience.

DRP-400 IT Disaster Recovery Manager

COMPETENCY LEVEL: MANAGE

This advanced 2-day IT Disaster Recovery course is a follow-up to those who have attended the DRP-300 IT Disaster Recovery Implementer course. Participants will be taught how to implement, manage and maintain a DR plan through its different maturity stages.

The course is designed for either fully online or hybrid learning. It is expected to be completed within two weeks for the blended learning approach and one week [two full days onsite] for the hybrid approach.

Course Pre-Requisite:
Must complete the DRP-300 Operational Resilience Implementer

DRP-5000 IT Disaster Recovery Expert Implementer

COMPETENCY LEVEL: MANAGE

This is the most comprehensive and holistic business continuity management course by the BCM Institute. It covers syllabuses taught in DRP-200, DRP-300, and DRP-400 courses.

The course guides participants from DRP’s fundamentals to its practical use and assists new and experienced DR managers in navigating their organisation’s new and maturing DRP Plan.

The course is designed for either fully online or hybrid learning. It is expected to be completed within eight weeks for the blended learning approach and five weeks for the hybrid approach.
