What is included in the course fee?

Why should I pay the same price as a "brick and mortar" course?
While the mode of delivery and the courseware has been adapted to suit virtual training, you are still getting the same value in terms of standard, competency and level of professional instructors for the course. In fact, you would spend more time learning from the experienced instructors than you would be getting if you had attended the "brick and mortar" course.

Blended Learning
Is this a new initiative?
No, this is not a new initiative. BCM Institute has always had an e-learning platform. The COVID-19 situation just allowed us to feature the courses more prominently. This is especially since we have been getting increasing requests for the BCM-300 and BCM-5000 courses to be conducted internationally.
You only need to know what are your knowledge and learning before embarking on this journey. Complete the reading in our emails to you as we can speak more via video conferencing.
What is so special about this course?
The BCM-5000 Blended Learning is the first course to be aligned to the ISO 22301: 2019 standard.
Is the course internationally recognized?
As the courseware and standard are no different from our "brick and mortar" course, it receives the same recognition as its face to face counterpart.
What is blended learning? What type(s) of learning does it comprise of?
Blended learning is a course offered by BCM Institute that combines e-learning, online facilitated classes/discussions, offline self-study and assignments. Some may see it as hybrid learning.
Different from the heavily discounted or free courses offered by top universities through Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platforms like Udemy and Coursera, these courses are available only for limited participation. Its online modules are also conducted live allowing for instant feedback and interaction among participants and facilitators.
Using zoom as the online platform, allows one to engage their fellow participants in the course. As it is not bound by geographic constraints, participants would more likely be able to interact with a more international crowd.
This interaction, no different from what BCM Institute's courses are known for, would further enhance the participants understanding in implementing a BCM plan and managing a BCM team.

The next section is purely for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents who are seeking up to 90% from the Singapore Government.
Singapore Government Funding for BCM-5000 Blended Learning Course
This section is applicable for Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) only.
Click the button "Government Funding Available" to find out more about the funding that is available from the Singapore government. This includes the CITREP+, SkillsFuture Credit and UTAP.
CITREP+ Funding from IMDA
Currently, the main funding (up to 90%) available is Singapore's IMDA CITREP+ funding. This is the same funding available for the "brick and mortar" BCM-5000 ISO 22301 BCMS Expert Implementer course.
To know more about CITREP+ funding and who is eligible to claim, do read about it here.
What if I fail the examination meant to claim for my IMDA CITREP+ funding?
Your course fees include a free re-examination (i.e. 2nd try at the examination). Those who fail at their first try would also be given an analysis of which parts they are weak at as well as access to online recorded revision sessions.
Feedback and results received showed that these helped tremendously for those who came back to do their re-examination.
But if in the case that you do fail again, you would need to make a Singapore Dollar (SGD) 250 re-examination fee payment. You are able to send in the passing re-examination result to make your IMDA claim as long as it is done within 1 year of you starting the course.
What is the difference between the BCM-5000 Blended Learning and WSQ course?
BCM Institute is also the Authorised Training Organisation (ATO) for SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) Singapore Workforce Skill Qualification (WSQ) courses. We are using the latest ISO 22301: 2019 standard while WSQ uses the Singapore WSQ requirements with no or little discussion on how it relates to ISO. This course also prepares you to understand how to work with senior management and manage maturing BCM programs. It is competency-based training.
Why is there a difference in assessment for Singapore and non-Singapore course participants?
The Singaporean and Singapore Permanent Resident claiming the IMDA CITREP+ funding has to complete and show proof of passing the online Qualifying Business Continuity Certified Expert examination before funds can be reimbursed to them.
