[BL-HL-B-5] What is a BCM-5000 Blended [BL] and Hybrid [HL] Learning Course?

Given the COVID-19 outbreak and the return to the "new normal", participants at BCM Institute are asking, "Should I attend the four-day "brick-and-mortar" course [BCM-5000] or the blended learning course that stretches over eight weeks?"

What are their differences? What should I know before enrolling for the course?

Overview of BCM-5000 Blended Learning [BL-B-5] Course

While professionals generally still prefer to attend an onsite classroom-based course with a facilitator or instructor being present, (electronic) face-to-face classroom practices are fast gaining momentum. This is especially so when more regions in the world are experiencing travel restrictions, lockdowns and quarantine requirements when arriving at the destination.

Hence BCM Institute crafted the BCM-5000 Blended Learning [BL-B-5] to answer the global requests of conducting the BCM-5000 ISO 22301 BCMS course on site.  Module 1 to 4 and their relationship to the 300-400-5000 level courses are explained.

What are the Differences and Concerns?

Hybrid vs Blended Learning BCM: The primary concern with blended learning is that it will be another eLearning training over video channels. The entire process is designed such that the content will provide the same outcome.

Click the icon on the right to learn more about the difference between Blended Learning and Hybrid Learning offered by BCM Institute.

Instructors: Do note that instructors delivering the modules remain the same as the onsite training.  At BCM Institute, most of our instructors are still practicing BCM professionals with a minimum of 12 years of direct BCM experience as they hold or hold regional or global BCM responsibilities.

International Participation: Another significant change will be the participation of more international delegates compared to the traditional majority of Asian participants.  Be expected to discuss and work as teams from different parts of the world.

Readings: Be expected to have more pre-readings as the objective is to ensure that knowledge that could be acquired via assignment should be done outside the training session.  More time is allocated to sharing experiences between the participants and facilitators.
