Preparing for Your BCM Course & Certification Examination
When you are reading this section, you should have received your personalized userid and password to access the examination portal. To assist you to prepare for the actual examination, you may want to start doing some preliminary reading on the Business Continuity Management and its related terminology that will be taught during the course. So, where do you start?
If you are attempting the following Business Continuity Management (BCM) certification examination after completing either the BCM-200 [ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System] (BCMS) Planner, BCM-300, BCM-400 or BCM-5000 course, you should include this as part of your revision preparation. You can start reading through the terminologies starting from the Body of Knowledge or BOK 1 to BOK 7.
As you are enrolled, you should be able to identify the course name and code that you are attending. Proceed to locate in the appended table below which will direct you to the Competency Level or CL for Business Continuity Management (BCM) that you will need to review.

1. Foundation Level
BCM-200: ISO 22301 BCMS Planner
The course offered by BCM Institute at the Foundation level course. It is indicated as Competency Level [CL] One [1] Business Continuity [BC] or CL 1B. The code "B" tagged behind CL 1 indicate the domain of the Business Continuity discipline. This is BCM Institute's basic certification program which upon successful completion will allow you to be awarded the BCM Certified Planner (BCCP).
As for the BCCP examination, the format will be fifty multiple choice questions, and there will be no deduction for incorrect answers. The duration for the BCCP exam will be one and a half hours.

2. Intermediate Level
BCM-300: ISO 22301 BCMS Implementer [BL-B-3]
At the intermediate level course, the successful completion of the program and assessment will lead you to be certified as a Business Continuity Certified Specialist {BCCS). Again, the examination format is 100 multiple choice questions with no deduction for incorrect answers. The duration for either the examination will be two and a half hours from the start of the exam.

3. Advanced Level
BCM-400: ISO 22301 BCMS Manager [BL-B-4] / BCM-5000: ISO 22301 BCMS Expert Implementer [BL-B-5]
Finally, at the institute's advanced level course for Crisis Communication or CL 3B, which is the advanced level, BCM Institute will be offering the BC Certified Expert (BCCE). Here, the examination format will be 150 questions, and the duration of the examination will be three and a half hours. All examinations will be taken under an invigilator and the passing mark will be 75% of the total number of questions.
The preparation of the BC Certified Expert (BCCE) examination pertaining to the terminologies used during the BCM-400 (which is a 2-day course after attempting the BCM-300 in an earlier date) or BCM-5000 course, can be found in CL 3B. Do take note that when you are requested to read CL 3B, it is assumed that CL 1B and CL 2B are included as part of the reading for the BCCE examination.
