3.  Download and Complete the Template

Participants are required to download the template and complete their assignment before attending the workshop.

Note that this is intended to be the assignment as required as a final assessment by WSQ.  You are expected to input your requirement with the support of a set of guidance notes.

4.  Workshop

Webinar ASIS 2020A virtual training workshop will be conducted to guide project participants to identify, analyse and evaluate their risks. The consultant will also use this time to explain the more difficult concepts on risk. A set of templates is used to facilitate this process.

What should participants do:

2_Risk Analysis and Review-1Participants should have read the supplementary materials and come prepared to ask questions. Handouts and templates will be sent to them before the workshop, and participants are strongly encouraged to have the completed templates loaded on the laptop, as we will be working on the templates during the workshop.

SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) Requirement

Note that because the workshop is a 1-time group event, it is important that participants lock this event in their calendars. No repeat workshop will be conducted for absent participants and there is a possibility that  SkillsFuture Singapore or SSG will not approve the course subsidy if the participant is absent for more than 75% of the module.

5. Assessment

Assessment are also conducted virtually similar to the workshop session. Each participants will have 30 minutes face-to-face (virtually) session with the assessor for the assessment.

Often, participants are worried about the assessment as they felt that they are taking an examination that they had taken in school.  The concerns and the many other questions are answered in the "Frequently Asked Questions on WSQ Courses Offered by BCM Institute."

6. Consultation (Optional)

After the workshop, participants will have one week to complete and submit the templates to their Organisation BCM Coordinator, who will consolidate the templates and send the batch to the consultant.

A consultation and assessment session (approx. 30 mins) has been arranged for individual departments to go through the templates with the consultants and sit for a simple open-book assessment comprising a few easy-to-answer questions. This assessment is a requirement from SkillsFuture Singapore or SSG to qualify for government funding.

Refer to answer [3] to [6] provided in "FAQ on WSQ Courses Offered by BCM Institute" to have an better understanding on the expectation of a WSQ assessment.

What should participants do:

  1. Submit the risk assessment templates to your Organisational BCM Coordinator on time
  2. Before the consultation & assessment session, review your templates, and quickly read through the course materials
  3. Attend the consultation & assessment session at the appointed time
  4. If there are any changes required, submit a revised completed template to your Organisational BCM Coordinator.

The consultant will process the templates from all departments and write a report for submission to the organisation's management.
