Refund Policy

BCM Institute's responsibility is to define the cancellations, postponements, and refund policies and ensure participants are fully aware of them before enrolling.

Refund and Cancellation Policy - General Terms and Agreements

Registration for courses is done online.  Training fees must be paid in advance of the scheduled date. The employer, however, is invoiced for the course costs before the beginning of the training and is deemed to pay upfront if the course is sponsored. An exception is when an employer who signs the Confirmation of Participation (COP) provided by BCM Institute is invoiced and must pay after the course has been completed.

Participants will only be considered as confirmed after full payment has been made or the credit facility has been approved by BCM Institute. Suppose payment is due by the participant's organisation or sponsored by an organisation. In that case, the participant will be liable for all costs incurred should the organisation fail to make payment by the published due date.

Course Cancellation or Postponement by BCM Institute

It is possible for BCM Institute to cancel or reschedule a booked course in certain circumstances, such as if the instructor is unavailability, there are not enough participants, etc. When this occurs, BCM Institute will notify participants as soon as possible. Participants will be advised no later than five working days before course commencement (unless exceptional circumstances apply).

When this occurs, participants can either:

  • Choose not to continue with the scheduled training course, and a full refund will be provided for any fees paid
  • Reschedule course

Participant Cancellation or Postponement and Rescheduling

Cancellation and/or postponement shall be made in writing to BCM Institute; the cancellation or postponement and refund policy are based on the invested cost of organising the training and the opportunity lost to the training provider.

This policy applies to participants already booked into a course or those responsible for the fees.

Cancellation or rescheduling must occur five business days or more before the commencement of a course. If a cancellation or reschedule occurs within five business days of the commencement of the course, the employer will still be invoiced for the course and is deemed to pay in full.

Another participant may be substituted at any time before the start of the course should the enrolled participant not be able to attend. BCM Insitute should be informed before the course commences.

Cancellation of an examination or assessment within 48 hours of the arranged time or the failure of a participant to be present will incur a cost for re-booking (this applies for WSQ courses with assessment sessions attached to the course).

Cancellation or Postponement/Rescheduling of the course is subject to the following penalties:

Situation Refund Amount Penalties
Cancellation by Participants
30 or more business days before the first scheduled date of training  15%
Less than 30 business days before the first scheduled training date. Not applicable. Full payment will be levied.
Postponement by Participants

Cancellations or Rescheduling due to medical conditions or exceptional circumstances

A participant may cancel or reschedule a course within five business days of the commencement of a course without charge in the event of an unforeseen medical condition or exceptional circumstances (e.g. death in the family). A medical certificate will be required in the event of illness.
