[SOP] Program AdminThe following are Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for Program Admin activities involving course coordination for WSQ courses offered by BCM Institute.

E-learning / Assessment

Details on the system's capability to authenticate learners’ identities.
Asynchronous Learning

Participants will be given their login details for the Learning Management System (LMS) a week before the course session commences. They will enter the BCM Institute's portal or E-Campus, complete the e-learning modules, and then proceed to the Zoom session with the facilitating instructor.

Participants will be assigned individual user IDs and passwords before the start of the lesson. The login page is shown in the diagram below.

Synchronous Learning

Facilitation will be conducted via Zoom. Participants will be emailed the Zoom link a week in advance. Participants will be asked to hold up their NRIC individually, recite their name, and then change it to the one on the NRIC in the Zoom interface.

The instructor will log onto Zoom 5 minutes before the designated time for the Zoom Session. The instructor will turn on their video and audio and begin recording.

Upon entering the Zoom session, the participant will turn on their video and audio. They will present a full forward view of their face and, if necessary, flash their NRIC.

Participants will state their name and NRIC number clearly. They can mute their audio but must remain on their video unless they step out for breaks.

Assessments will likewise be conducted via Zoom.

Details on the system's capability to validate attendance records & track learners’ progress.

BCM Institute's Learning Management System (LMS) is a place to track the completion progress of Asynchronous e-learning.

From the LMS, we can track the learner’s progress:

  • Time the participant started on the e-learning topic
  • The score for each e-learning topic. The passing mark for each subject is 75% and above. When a participant scores less than 75%, he/she cannot proceed to the next topic.

  • This is the dashboard, which can be viewed only by BCM Institute’s program administration team.
  • It allows the team to monitor and track the participants' progress and pass/fail. Scoring a grade of more than 75 means that the learner has completed the topic with a passing grade.

For Synchronous Learning, the instructor will take screenshots of both themselves and the participants before the beginning of the Zoom session and will do so two more times during the middle of the session and before the session ends.

Participants can mute their audio but must remain on their video unless they step out for breaks.

Details of how the trainer/instructor support is available for trainees who need further clarification or assistance.

For matters relating to synchronous or asynchronous learning, participants can contact BCM Institute at assignment@bcm-institute.org or WhatsApp their questions to +65 84486143. The turnaround time will be one working day.

Details of how technical helpdesk support is available

Participants can contact BCM Institute via WhatsApp at +65 84486143 should they need technical assistance.

Details of the authentication process to verify trainee identity, enable the conduct of e-assessments and ensure accuracy and authenticity of the assessment results.

Live Proctoring
  • A live proctor (or AI-powered proctoring system) may monitor the trainee via webcam and audio to ensure no cheating or inappropriate behaviour occurs during the assessment.

  • The proctor may ask the trainee to show their workspace, identify potential distractions, or verify that the assessment environment is transparent of unauthorized materials.
