Complete Application Form: Sample DR BoK 1 PM #1

When you provide evidence on your experience, you must demonstrate that the requirement as spelt out in the respective BoK is executed during the specific period.  This sample submission is in your application form for BoK 1 Project Management

It is essential to demonstrate that you have conducted the processes within the BoK yourself over the specific period mentioned. Your two referees are willing to confirm the experience when the certification team needs verification.

Note that at least one of your referees should be your superior or supervisor.

Do note that some examples are for Specialist Level certification applications.  There is an expectation for more experience and involvement if you are applying for the Expert level certification.

1. What was performed?

  • Establishment of a DR project Initiation & management for subsidiary ABC by XYZ International

2. When was it done?

  • Kickoff meeting started from September 201x ended mid-May 201x

3. How was it carried out?

  • In 201x, ABC organisation wanted to establish a DR project in the company and seek assistance from its Head Office XYZ DR team. I was appointed the Project Manager and responsible for facilitating ABC International in establishing the DR program.

  • ABC is a subsidiary of XYZ International. Its main business is clean water production and distributing the water to customers in the Jakarta area. Business continuity is crucial for ABC to ensure its customer continue to receive clean water even in the event of a major disaster.

  • At the initial stage, the process started with the establishment of the DRP Project team including the determination of roles and responsibilities. The team members consist of staff from 2 companies. ABC as the operational team and XYZ International as consultant and facilitator.

DRP Project Team establishment stage was followed by the formulation of the Project Management project plan. The plan comprises:
  • Establish Project Organization Structure
    • Roles and Responsibilities
  • Project objective
    • The objective is to ensure the safety of human life and to protect stakeholders interests (including financial, reputation and compliance to regulatory) by building business resilience during a catastrophic event
  • Project scope
    • DRP in ABC covered 5 (five) different premises including Head Office, Two Water Treatment Plants, Water Facilities, and a warehouse.
  • Project Timeline
    • With the assumption that the project will take 9 months time, we set up a project timeline to ensure the project can be done in a timely manner.
    • Apart from the timeline, we also agreed to conduct monthly meetings to discuss the project reports and obstacles so they can be run smoothly.
    • From time to time, we also update the Top Management on the progress.

After the team and the plan had been established, we conducted a kick-off which aimed to gain commitment across the member of the company including the Top Management. The kick-off was attended by almost all of ABC's managers and senior management. The project was formally started with this kickoff meeting.
