What Are You Required to Complete for Module 3 for the Blended Learning?
Module 3: Web Training and Discussion Workshop
To complete Module 3 of the BL-B-5 or Blended Learning BCM-5000 course, participants are required to attend two 1/2 day session for module 3.
Sequence of A Typical 1/2 day Session
A typical walkthrough of each 1/2 day consists of the following:
- Pre-reading [Maximum of one hour]
- Attending Facilitated Online Workshop [Maximum of three hours]
- Include class discussion
- Complete RAR, BIA and BCS report as three assignments before the start of Module 3 session 2 [Maximum of one and half hours]

[A] Pre-reading |
Pre-readings assigned are selected blogs and chapters of the Manager's Guide to ISO22301 BCMS. Participants are recommended to complete them before the facilitated online session.
This serves as 'bite-sized' background information, allowing participants to familiarize themselves with the concepts to be discussed. It would also assist participants in the completion of their assignment in the following 1 hour online session.

[B] Attend Facilitated Online Training |
All participants of the Blended Learning BCM-5000 course are to attend two sessions of 3-hour facilitated online training sessions. Facilitated by an industry practitioner, the 3-hour session would concentrate on the management aspects of a business continuity project, risk analysis and review (RAR), business impact analysis (BIA), business continuity strategy (BCS) and Business Continuity Plan Development. Participants are free to ask and seek clarifications during the online training with the facilitator on hand.
The second 3-hour session would be facilitated training on managing testing and exercising, business continuity programme as well as an introduction on crisis management and communication as well as the fundamentals in crisis command centre setup.
Both sessions are compulsory for anyone who has signed up for the Blended Learning BCM-5000 (BL-B-5) programme.

[C] Offsite Completion of Report Writing and Presentation Preparation |
All participants will start to review the case study for the first 1-hour session. They are required to write the risk analysis and review (RAR), business impact analysis (BIA), business continuity strategy (BCS) report for the second 1-hour session. Participants are free to ask and seek clarifications during the online training with the facilitator on hand.
You are expected to spent 1-hour session presenting the management presentation on the RAR, BIA and BCS report to the management (facilitator and the class).
Both facilitated online sessions are compulsory for anyone who has signed up for the Blended Learning BCM-5000 (BL-B-5) programme.
