[HRD] What is HRD Corp?

The HRD Corp is Malaysia's government funding for training made available to all Malaysian residents. HRD Corp Claimable Courses offer funding eligibility for both public training sessions, whether conducted face-to-face or through remote online training. The funding covers up to a maximum of RM1,750 per day per participant for full-day sessions, which consist of 7 training hours. For half-day sessions, the maximum claimable amount is RM1,000 per participant. These funding options make it easier for individuals and organisations to access high-quality training while optimizing their budgets.

What is HRD Corporation?

Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp), or previously known as Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) is an agency under the purview of the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia governed by the Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad Act 2001 (PSMB Act 2001). HRD Corp was given the mandate by the Malaysian Government to catalyse the development of a competent local workforce that will contribute to Malaysia’s vision of becoming a high-income economy.

HRD Corp claimable training courses are training programs conducted by HRD Corp authorised training providers. 

Am I Eligible for HRD Corp Funding?

HRD Corp allows companies that are contributing to the Human Resources Development Fund to claim back the training fees from the levy. 

 

Is the HRD Corp fund claimable for face-to-face training?

Yes. HRD Corp allows claims for the public face to face training. 

 

Is the HRD Corp fund claimable for online courses/e-learning?

Yes. HRD Corp allows claims for online courses and e-learning. 

 

I would like to attend the course conducted in-house. Is this claimable under HRD Corp?

Yes. You can claim up to RM10,000 per day/group for full-day training (7 training hours), or RM6,000/half-day/group (4 training hours) whether it is a Face-to-Face or Remote Online Training. Please refer to HRD Corp's circular for detailed information.

How much can I claim from HRD Corp?

As per the HRD Corp's Circular No. 3/2024 - Enhancement of Terms and Conditions for the Allowable Cost Matrix, the maximum amount claimable from HRD Corp is as per the following:
