[HRD] What is HRD Corp?

The HRD Corp is Malaysia's government funding for training made available to all Malaysian residents. It provides funding for Individuals who wish to attend a course. Participants can be funded up to RM 1,300 per day per person (subject to face-to-face training) and RM 700 per day per person (subject to remote online training [ROT]) of the course fee for courses offered by BCM Institute.

What is HRD Corporation?

Human Resource Development Corporation (HRD Corp), or previously known as Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) is an agency under the purview of the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia governed by the Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad Act 2001 (PSMB Act 2001). HRD Corp was given the mandate by the Malaysian Government to catalyse the development of a competent local workforce that will contribute to Malaysia’s vision of becoming a high-income economy.

HRD Corp claimable training courses are training programs conducted by HRD Corp authorised training providers.

Am I Eligible for HRD Corp Funding?

HRD Corp allows companies that are contributing to the Human Resources Development Fund to claim back the training fees from the levy.

Is the HRD Corp fund claimable for face-to-face training?

Yes. HRD Corp allows claims for the public face to face training.

Is the HRD Corp fund claimable for online courses/e-learning?

Yes. HRD Corp allows claims for online courses and e-learning.

I would like to attend the course conducted in-house. Is this claimable under HRD Corp?

Yes. You can claim up to RM6,000 per day/group. The amount is prorated if less than 5 pax attending the in-house for face-to-face and RM700/day/pax or whichever is lower for Remote Online Training. Please refer to HRD Corp's circular for detailed information.

How much can I claim from HRD Corp?

As per the HRD Corp's 8-Employers-Circular-No-8-2021 [FAQ], under the Employer-Specific Courses segment, the maximum amount claimable from HRD Corp is as per the following:

Public: Face-to-Face Training (F2F) - Up to RM1,300 per pax/day
Public: Remote Online Training (ROT) - Up to RM700 per pax/day
In-house: F2F & ROT - Up to RM6,000 per group/day
