Process and Resource Mapping (People, Processes, Technology, and Third-Party Vendors) for CBS-1
Introduction
Electricity generation and distribution are at the heart of Malakoff Corporation’s mission to provide reliable, sustainable, and efficient energy to the nation.
As part of its commitment to operational resilience, it is essential to identify and understand the critical interdependencies that underpin the organisation’s most vital operations.
This chapter focuses on CBF-1: Electricity Generation and Distribution Operations, a critical business function that encompasses the end-to-end processes required to produce, manage, and deliver electricity across the national grid.
To enhance resilience, a detailed dependency mapping exercise has been conducted for each sub-component (Sub-CBS) of CBF-1.
This mapping identifies the key People, Processes, Technology (applications and infrastructure), and Third-Party Vendors that support each operational area.
By systematically capturing these dependencies, Malakoff can better manage operational risks, reduce recovery time during disruptions, and ensure compliance with regulatory expectations under operational resilience and business continuity frameworks.

Notes:
- All People roles should include resilience training and be cross-skilled where possible.
- Processes should have documented SOPs, tested in tabletop and live scenario simulations.
- Technology must be maintained with cyber-resilience in mind (e.g., secure access, backups).
- Third-party vendors should be assessed regularly for business continuity capabilities.
Summing Up …
The dependency mapping presented in this chapter provides a holistic view of the critical enablers supporting Malakoff’s electricity generation and distribution operations. It serves as a foundational tool for risk identification, impact tolerance assessments, and scenario testing across CBF-1 operations.
Understanding these interdependencies not only enhances Malakoff’s readiness to respond to disruptions but also enables strategic investments in redundancy, automation, and third-party oversight.
Moving forward, this mapping should be regularly reviewed and updated to reflect changes in technology, supply chains, regulatory environments, and internal processes.
By doing so, Malakoff Corporation ensures its continued ability to deliver reliable electricity services, even in the face of evolving threats and operational challenges.
