The Operational Resilience Body of Knowledge (OR BoK) is an all-inclusive term that describes the sum of the body of knowledge within the Operational Resilience (OR) profession.

It is often argued that some phases within the other OR and ORA disciplines do not apply. The BCM Institute intends to standardise the implementation across the Operational Resilience (OR) and Operational Resilience Audit (ORA) disciplines.
The diagram below provides an overview of how the BCM Body of Knowledge (BoK) is linked with the OR Competency Level (CL) and the Expertise Level (EL).
The body of knowledge is divided into three domains. In each domain, there are the "Plan, " "Implement, " and "Sustain" phases of the OR planning methodology. In domains P1, P2, and P3, each domain (or phase) is broken down into five stages. These five stages form the OR Body of Knowledge.
