This page aims to assist you to in clarifying further doubts you have on attending the DRP-5000 Blended Learning [BL-DR-5] Course and is seeking funding from the Singapore government.
Are there funding available for blended learning?
Currently, the only funding available is from SkillsFuture Singapore's funding. This is the same funding available for the "brick and mortar" DRP-5000 IT DR Expert Implementer [BL-DR-5] course.
To know more about SkillsFuture funding and who is eligible to claim, do read about it here.
What if I fail the examination, will I still be eligible for funding?
Your course fees include a free re-examination (i.e. 2nd try at the examination). Those who fail on their first try would also be given an analysis of which parts they are weak at as well as access to online recorded revision sessions.
Feedback and results received showed that these helped tremendously for those who came back to do their re-examination.
But if in the case that you do fail again, you would need to make a Singapore Dollar (SGD) 250 re-examination fee payment. You are able to send in the passing re-examination result to make your IMDA claim as long as it is done within 1 year of you starting the course.
Pre-Requisites and Certifications
Why is there a difference in assessment for Singapore and non-Singapore course participants?
As part of the SkillsFuture Singapore requirement, the Singaporean and Singapore Permanent Residents enrolling under Skillsfuture Singapore funding have to complete and pass the exams.
Blended Learning Regulations
Can I only attend the modules that I like or do I have to complete all components?
No this is not possible as each module are linked and that failure to complete each module would not allow you to obtain the internationally recognised Disaster Recovery Certified Planner (DRCP) and eventually the Disaster Recovery Certified Expert (DRCE)*
