[BL-B-5] What is Needed to Complete Module 4 of the BCM-5000 Blended Learning Course?

After completing the E-learning of Module 1 and the intermediate online course of Module 2 (Course code: BL-B-3), participants continuing with the Blended Learning BCM-5000 (Course code: BL-B-5), would have proceeded and completed the blended learning Module 3.

Module 4 is the last part of the course.  Similar to Module 2, Module 4 is a hand-on session which focuses on management reporting and BCM exercising for the organisation.

What Are You Required to Complete for  Module 4 of the Blended Learning BCM Programme?

Module 4: Web Training and Discussion Workshop

To complete Module 4 of the BCM-5000 Blended Learning (BL-B-5) course, participants are required to attend
two 2-hour sessions and one  1-hour of pre-reading and development of reports.

Sequence of A Typical  1/2 Day Session

A typical  1/2 day session for Module 4 consists the following:

  1. Pre-reading [Maximum of one hour]

  2. Pre-work on report writing [Maximum of one hour]
  3. Attend Facilitated Online Workshop 
    [Maximum of one hour]
    • Able to sustain and increase the maturity of the BCM program
    • Able to assist in managing and setting up of a Crisis Command Centre
    • Integrate with crisis management and crisis communication functions during a disaster
    • Design and develop an advanced level and organisational-wide BC exercise programme
    • Design and develop a walkthrough and tabletop exercise
    • Develop and conduct comprehensive corporate-wide exercises and tests
      Develop and design an advanced level exercise

 [A] Pre-reading

Pre-readings assigned are blog articles and chapters of the Manager's Guide to ISO 22301 BCMS. Participants are recommended to complete them before the session as it serves as  'bite-sized' background information, allowing participants to familiarize themselves with the concepts to be discussed. 

It would also assist participants in the completion of their assignment in the following  1 hour online session.

[B] Attend Facilitated Online Training and Discuss with Facilitator

All participants of the Blended Learning BCM-5000 course are to attend two 2-hour sessions

 

Bann_BL-B-5_Mod4S1_Prepare_Attend The first 3-hour session scheduled on a different day where participants would be able to discuss another case study and navigate how to coordinate and manage crisis communication and crisis management as well as implement BCM audit and assessment program. 
   
Bann_BL-B-5_Mod4S2_Prepare_Attend The second 3-hour session would need them to be part of a facilitated online training session. Facilitated by an industry practitioner and armed with the pre-reading knowledge, this session would need participants to apply the knowledge to design and develop a walkthrough and tabletop exercise.

Both sessions are compulsory and run at the pre-determined online schedule. There would not be a repeat or substitute session for anyone who missed it.
