Throughout the Plan Phase, we explored the foundations of resilience. BDCB began by assessing its capabilities and maturity, identifying where it stands today and where it aims to be. By conducting a gap analysis, the organisation could bridge current vulnerabilities with future aspirations. A strategy and roadmap were then established, supported by a clear risk appetite that defined the boundaries of acceptable disruption. Finally, governance structures were embedded to ensure accountability, oversight, and alignment with international standards.

The Implement Phase demonstrated how the strategy is translated into action. BDCB identified critical business services, mapped the processes and resources supporting them, and defined impact tolerances to determine acceptable levels of disruption. Through scenario testing, the bank validated its preparedness against real-world shocks, ensuring lessons learnt were continuously integrated to strengthen operational readiness.
