Recovery Procedures: Corporate Communications

17.1 Critical Business Function

WHAT

PR01 - Provide public relations and corporate communications.

17.1.1 Pre-Crisis

HOW
  • List of key media contacts (updated on a half-yearly basis).
  • Prepare pre-approved statements (pre-approved and applicable for different disasters and aligned with internal communications).
  • Appoint Spokesperson and alternate.
  • Identify the venue for a press conference.

17.1.2 Within T+24 hours (RESUMPTION)

HOW
  • Retrieve a list of media contacts from the Alternate Site Recovery Box.
  • Issue first external communication to media.

17.1.3 After T+24 hours (RECOVERY)

HOW
  • Issue second and subsequent external communication to media.
  • Issue first and subsequent external communication to clients.
