Disaster Recovery Certified Specialist (DRCS)

Pre-requisites

The prerequisites are:

• Attend and complete the DRP-300: IT Disaster Recovery Implementer course and pass the Qualifying DRCS examination
  AND
• Have at least one year of IT disaster recovery professional experience and
• Be able to describe at least 3 BCM Body of Knowledge (BoK)
• Send in the SGD 75 (Singapore Dollar) DRCS Certification Application Processing Fees

How to be Certified

To become a DRCS-certified professional, a candidate must complete four separate processes:

• Formal Education (attend and complete the DRP-300: Disaster Recovery Implementer course)
• Examination (attempt and pass the Qualifying DRCS examination)
• Show proof of at least one year of verifiable DR experience (Refer to the application form for further explanation)
• Make a payment of SGD 75 (non-refundable) application processing fee.

Formal Education

• Sign up for the DRP-300 course and complete the two modules (M1 to M2)
• Pay the Course Fees before starting the course.
• Be assigned login credentials to start the eLearning for Module 1 
• Answer quizzes at the end of each sub-module of Module 1
• Continue to complete Module 2 within the schedule.
• Sit for the examination at the end of the course.
  
  

Examination

To sit for the Examination, a candidate must:

• Be competent in the Competency Level (CL):
  • Foundation(CL 1)
  • Intermediate (CL 2)
    including the five BCM Body of Knowledge (BCM BoK)
• Attempt the online practice quiz at least once

Certification

To be issued a certificate, a candidate must:

• Pass the DRCS qualifying examination with a required passing score of 75% out of 100- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
• Submit a non-refundable Application Processing Fee
• Submit the Certification Application Form to the certification team
• Describe three out of seven of the BCM Body of Knowledge (BCM BoK) as experience
• Select two references for each BCM BoK (references may be repeated for all three of seven of the BCM BoKs).

Fee Payment

• Application Processing Fee (Singapore Dollar): SGD 75. (Not included in course fees and non-refundable even if the application is rejected)
• Annual Maintenance Fee: SGD 75 (Applicable after your first year of certification)
