The ability to maintain critical operations during a disaster is heavily dependent on the availability of essential resources.
For SHINE Children and Youth Services, CBF-11: Facilities, IT Systems & Service Infrastructure encompasses the foundational elements that support the organisation’s day-to-day and crisis operations.
These include the management of physical facilities, IT systems, telecommunications, data centres, service support, and business continuity planning.
This chapter identifies the minimum resources required for each Sub-Critical Business Function (Sub-CBF) to ensure continuity and rapid recovery in the event of a disaster.
Staffing, workstations, telecommunications, computing devices, and any other specific operational requirements define the resources.

Ensuring operational resilience at SHINE requires a well-defined minimum set of resources across all critical functions within CBF-11.
By establishing the necessary staffing levels, workstations, communication tools, computing devices, and specialised equipment, the organisation can mitigate the impact of disasters, maintain service continuity, and safeguard both internal and client-facing operations.
Regular review and updates of these resource requirements are essential to address evolving operational demands and technological changes.
