Module 4, or Day 4 of the course, is designed to develop the "Sustain" competency of the appointed operational resilience team leader.
The last three modules, starting with Module 1, are about understanding the OR concept. They are followed by the "implement" phase of the OR planning methodology before we start the "Plan" phase of the OR program.
Module 4 wraps up the "Sustain" phase, forming the final "Manage" competency training set.
The last module prepares for the long-term challenges of sustaining the operational resilience program.
Business continuity, crisis management, and operational risk practitioners assigned to this role may need to understand the vital foundational items and activities required to continuously improve the operational resilience framework and practical guidance on their content and implementation.
Attempting to make the cultural change with the wrong structure is the start of this program's wrong footing.
Underestimating the communication protocols and raising OR awareness is another primary concern that needs serious consideration even when starting this program.
Most approaches articulated in the public domain focus on the "implement" phase of the OR methodology, as it is assumed that the "plan" and "sustain" will automatically fall in place.
