Description of Module (Day 2) Course
Module 2 of Blended Learning is similar to the content of Day 2 of the brick-and-mortar or onsite course. It aims to provide the student with hands-on experience using customized templates, analyzing and evaluating risk from a DR perspective, identifying and developing the DR strategy, the technical considerations for DR strategy, the selection of DR vendors, and engaging the vendor via a request for proposal.

Establish a DR Plan
|
One of the first tasks in a DR project is to establish the structure of the DR plan. This session will walk through the key considerations for doing this and what should form the contents of the DR plan.
- Establish the key DR plan documentation activities
- Identify plan contents and structure
- Define specific objectives of the DR plan
- Implement the steps to complete the sections of the DR plan
- Apply actions to minimize or recover from a disaster

Participants should be able to:
- Conduct an IT risk assessment and application impact analysis
- identify and develop a recovery strategy (cloud, data backup and data protection}
- manage, select and engage vendor DR services via a Request for Proposal (RFP)
