You've probably gone through our ISO 22301 BCMS Planner course website and have an idea that this is the course you may like to attend but there are still some nagging questions you need clarifications with. Here's some of our common questions that may help you.
The course is an onsite 1-Day course or Module1 of the ISO22301 BCMS Implementer [BL-B-3] course, that allows you to have the theoretical basics in business continuity. It would allow to understand the concepts and terminologies used in the industry and the standard.
It is currently only available in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Philippines. If you would like us to conduct a similar class in other locations, a minimum class size of 10 participants is needed. To know more about such in-house classes, do contact us at sales.ap@bcm-institute.org.
As the course only equips the participants with the fundamental theories, participants may find difficulties in implementing it to action. To get the full understanding of how the fundamentals are implemented, a better course to consider is the onsite 2-Day ISO 22301 BCMS Implementer [BCM-300] course or its blended learning equivalent BL-B-3 Module 2.
The 2-Day (2-Module) course combines what you learn in the planner course with a hands-on workshop on the 2nd day. The workshop gives you access to generic BCM templates. Unfortunately, we do not share a softcopy of the templates after the class.
As this is a theoretical 1 Day course, participants would find it difficult to update the BCM Plan as the practical aspects are only taught in the 2-Day ISO 223301 BCMS Implementer [BCM-300] class or 2-module BL-B-3 blended learning course.
For this BCM-200, if you are unable to attend the course in Asia, you may want to consider e-learning Option. Read BCM E-learning: BCM Fundamentals Package for more information.
Note that BCM-200 form Day-1 of the BCM-300 course. There is no e-learning for the Day-2 of the BCM-300.
The examination is to test your understanding of the theory that was taught in class. Passing the 1.5 hour 50 Multiple Choice Question online Qualifying Business Continuity Certified Planner allows you to get the Business Continuity Certified Planner (BCCP) certificate.
It is not advisable to get an exemption from the examination as the course price includes an examination as well as re-examination (if need be) attempt. Exemption from the exams does not change the course price.
For those attempting the elearning module, your assessment for the examination is embedded into the individual lesson within Module 1 of the BL-B-3 Blended Learning course.
Yes you will be awarded the Business Continuity Certified Planner (BCCP) certificate upon passing the Qualifying BCCP exam or successful completion and passing of the assessment within the eLearning course. You would also be given the Certificate of Attendance upon completion of the examination, regardless of your result.
The Business Continuity Certified Planner (BCCP) is only valid for a year. It can be renewed at only Singapore dollar SGD 50. You will be prompted nearer to the date for renewal. There is no need for you to show proof of your business continuity activities for the year during the renewal process.
