Explanation

This is an explanation of how a design profile template is completed

It lists the items involved in designing a detailed test plan.

 

 

 

1 Definition The Definition section spells out the key parameters of the test, to ensure that all parties are clear about what the test is for.
  Objective Describe exact objective(s) of the test and exercise
  Type of Test Provide a brief description and overview of the test
  Scope and Scale Prepare participants on their degree of involvement
  Components to be Tested
  • Plans
  • People
  • Place
  • Resources
  Success Criteria Define the passing standard for the test
  Essential Pre-Conditions Describe tasks, such as briefing to participants or site preparation, to be conducted prior to the test
  Participants
  • Internal
  • External
2 Scheduling  
  Time of Test/ Schedule When will the tests be conducted?
  Duration How long will it take to complete the test(s)?
  Frequency
  • How often should a business unit conduct the test(s)?
  • Is it mandatory or desirable?
  Notice Requirement/ Warning What advance notification should be given to participants?
  Briefing of Participants Is there a requirement to brief the participants?
  Scenario What is the scenario of the test(s)?
  Write Test Plan Is the test plan written and who is assigned to do it?
  Budget for Test Have the expenses to be incurred for the test been approved?
4 Execution/ Monitoring
  • Controllers to be involved during the test
  • Identify the independent parties and observers assisting in the conduct of the test
5 Document  
  Documentation which:
  • Can be audited
  • Tracks events and help to measure the degree of success
6 Review/ Measure  
  Post Mortem Meeting Debrief and post-test assessment
7 Report/ Output  
  Post Test Actions This set of documentation is used for maintenance/ reporting stage
8 Maintenance/ Follow-Up Make amendments to the plan as required
