Crisis Communication with WSQ Funding

This 2-Day workshop is a unique WSQ Crisis Communication course designed for participants who are appointed to be part of the crisis communication team or are tasked to assist his/her Crisis Communication counterparts as part of their role as an emergency and incident management, crisis management and/or business continuity management team member.

What is the Content of the Course?

The workshop would allow participants

  1. to identify relevant internal and external stakeholders of disruptive events,
  2. to formulate crisis management communications strategies, procedures and key messages. The workshop also will be able to provide them with the competency
  3. to establish crisis communication, and action plans and
  4. to support information gathering and deliver key messages on behalf of the organisation.

What Do I Receive at the End of the Course?

At the end of the 2-Day course, Singaporean and Singapore PR participants who are taking advantage of the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) funding, would need to attempt and pass the interview and written assessment. Passing the WSQ assessment allows them to obtain 1 Statement of Attainment certificate awarded by WSQ.

Course Schedule and SSG Funding

NOTE: This course does not aim to equip a participant with the tools and competency to handle press conferences and press releases nor would it provide participants with an in-depth understanding of body posture or language used during such instances.

Objectives

The objective of the course is to train participants who have little direct crisis communication background and are in the emergency and incident management, crisis management and/or business continuity management team, to have the competency to establish a crisis communication management plan for their organisation.

Bridging to Certification Track

Completion of the 2-Day course also allows participants to continue to pursue the internationally recognised Crisis Communication certification, .i.e. the Crisis Communication Certified Planner (CCCP)* certificate.

To achieve the CCCP certification, participants would need to attempt the Qualifying CCCP examination and make payment of SGD 200 as part of the Qualifying examination fees.

CC Certified Planner (CCCP) certification is awarded to participants who successfully completed the 2 Day CC-350 Implementing Crisis Communication Plan course and pass the Qualifying CCCP examination
