This is one of the templates used to manage either the pandemic influenza (PD) or infectious disease (ID) preparation and outbreak. Incredibly useful for pandemics like COVID-19, this template provides a simple management update on the pandemic status to management as the DORSCON status escalates.
Management needs to be kept informed of the status of plan readiness, which preparatory and precautionary measures have been carried out, and in general, the organization's ability to respond to the disruption caused by the pandemic, answer to its stakeholders and continue functioning even as it worsens. Thus, this management reporting template is immensely important for keeping senior management updated.
Management will need to be updated on the "Readiness Level" of the pandemic influenza preparation stage. It is broken down into the detailed steps (preparedness factor) to be executed by members of the Pandemic Influenza and Infectious Diseases Taskforce.
The Pandemic Influenza and Infectious Diseases Taskforce include but may not be limited to:
- Business Continuity Management (BCM) Team
- Human Resource
- Facilities
- Information Technology
- Communications
