Managing Supply Chain Resilience and Disruption

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, governments across the globes have implemented lockdowns –circuit breakers, community quarantine, movement control order, they go by many names- in order to curb community spread, control traffic coming into the control, and ensure that the virus is starved out. However, there are massive consequences. Lives may be saved, but livelihoods are being threatened in the process; non-essential businesses have been shut down, many manufacturers have halted production, and both imports and exports have slowed.

In past MTE webinars, our team of experts have tackled key COVID-19 related issue including but not limited to Communication, Business Continuity, Crisis Management, Pandemic Preparedness and Pandemic related simulation exercises, as well as Returning back to the Office after an extended lockdown. Many of these issues are peter-focused topics. This session, however, will focus instead on resources and what happens when businesses are either unable to acquire said resources or find a way to sell them to continue their business functions.

We are talking about Supply Chain Disruption.

What happens when your suppliers from China can no longer provide you with goods and services? What happens when your multi-national operation, reliant on coordination from various parts of the world, finds itself cut off? What happens when you can’t reach your customer base overseas due to a complete lockdown? COVID-19 doesn’t just threaten lives; it threatens livelihoods, and the difference between a business’ survival or death may be determined by a business acts –and how prepared they are- within the lockdown.

Some hot Supply Chain Resilience and Disruption hot topics this webinar will cover will include:
