Operational Resilience Body of Knowledge
The Operational Resilience Body of Knowledge (OR BoK) is an all-inclusive term that encompasses the body of knowledge within the Operational Resilience (OR) profession.
- Aim to identify and describe the professions' most generally accepted core knowledge.
- Serve as a condensed representation of the OR BoK for BCM Institute for applicants submitting their OR or ORA certification application.
You, as an OR Certification Applicant
This section provides an overview of the three (3) OR BoK domains and fifteen (15) OR BoK. Access to each OR Body of Knowledge starts with a review of one of the five individual stages within the three phases of the OR planning methodology.
An example is determining what constitutes experience for the OR applicant to justify his or her relevant experience for a particular BoK. The detailed explanation in each stage will be reflected in the relevant approach.
For example, stage one of the five stages is "Identify Critical Business Services," which corresponds to the "Implement" phase, or the second phase, of the OR planning methodology.
When justifying their OR certification application, "Identify Critical Business Services" content must match the applicants' actual experience.
