Guidance Notes for Pre-Course Preparation on Operational Resilience

Introduction

Dear Participants of Module 3,

[OR] [M3] Guidance Notes for Pre-course Preparatory WorkTo ensure a productive learning experience during the upcoming Operational Resilience Course, we kindly request that you complete the following pre-course preparation tasks. There are a total of eight tasks.

These tasks will help you reflect on your organisation's approach to operational resilience and enable us to tailor the course content to your specific needs. 

 

Purpose

This is the preparation of related content before attending the Operational Resilience Expert Implementer course
It is essential to note that this lesson may be ahead of your regulatory requirements.

Hence, drawing on your experience with operational risk or business continuity management regulatory practices, you can use your prior experience with your regulator to answer these questions.

Select the relevant questions that you can answer. 

If you have not implemented the stage in the OR Planning Methodology. Insert "My Organisation has not implemented this stage. "

However, after attending the class, please provide details on how you will implement this phase.

Is there any program within your organisation that relates to Operational Resilience initiatives?

  •  Determine if your organisation has an existing program related to operational resilience initiatives.

  • Provide details about the program's objectives, scope, and key activities.

    • This may include business continuity planning, incident response management, risk assessments, or other initiatives enhancing operational resilience.

  • Understanding the existing program will help you connect the course content to your organisation’s specific operational resilience efforts.

  • Understanding your organisation's approach to implementing operational resilience will enable you to assess its alignment with the concepts and strategies discussed in the course.

  • Assessing your organisation's current maturity level will help you identify gaps and areas for improvement to address during the course.
