#### Pre-requisites

- Attend and complete the ORA-5000 Operational Resilience Audit Expert course

- Pass the Qualifying ORAE examination

AND

- Have at least three years of Operational Resilience/ business continuity/ crisis management/ IT disaster recovery/ BC-CM-DR-OR Audit professional experience and
- Be able to describe at least 8 OR related OR Body of Knowledge (OR BoK) which you have audited or implemeted. 
    - Send in the SGD 150 ORAE Certification Application Processing Fees

#### How to be Certified

To become an ORAE-certified professional, a candidate must complete four separate processes:

- Formal Education 
    - Attend and complete the ORA-5000 Operational Resilience  Expert Auditor course.
- Examination 
    - Attempt and pass the Qualifying ORAE examination
- Show proof of at least three years of verifiable OR-BCM-CM-IT DR and/or audit experience.
- Be able to describe **at least eight of fifteen OR related Body of Knowledge (OR BoK)**
- Make a payment of SGD 150 (non-refundable) application processing fee.

To become an ORCE-certified professional, a candidate must complete four separate processes:

- Show proof of at least three years of verifiable OR (BCM-CM-DR) and/or auditing experience.
- Make a payment of SGD 150 (non-refundable) application processing fee.
- Submit the ORCE application form to the certification team for review by the independent Certification Review Committee member.
- Complete review and approval by the Certification Review Committee member (which may take six to eight weeks)
- Invite to accept the ORCE award

#### Formal Education

- Sign up for the ORA-5000 course and complete the four modules (M1 to M4), or
- If you completed the ORA-300 Implementer course earlier, sign up for the ORA-400 course and complete the two modules (M3 - M4).
- Pay the Course Fees before starting the course.
- Be assigned login credentials to start the eLearning for Module 1 (for those taking ORA-5000) only
- Answer quizzes at the end of each sub-module of Module 1
- Continue to complete Modules 2, 3 and 4 within the schedule.
- Sit for the ORAE qualifying examination at the end of the course.

#### Examination

To sit for the Examination, a candidate must:

- Be competent in the Competency Level (CL): 
    - Foundation(CL 1)
    - Intermediate (CL 2)
    - Advanced (CL 3)  
      including the eight OR Body of Knowledge (OR BoK)
- Attempt the online practice quiz at least once

#### Certification

To be issued a certificate, a candidate must:

- Pass the ORAE qualifying examination with a required passing score of 75% out of 100- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
- Submit a non-refundable Application Processing Fee
- Submit the Certification Application Form to certification team

#### What Are You Required to Complete for Module 2 of the ORA-300/ 5000 Programme?

These are:

1. Build an Operational Resilience Programme
2. Recognize and analyze types of operational disruptions

The five stages are:

1. Identify critical business services
2. Set appropriate impact tolerances for critical business services
3. Map operational resilience across the organization
4. Perform scenario testing
5. Communicate operational resilience plans effectively

    3. Attend a Facilitated Online Workshop ***\[Maximum of three hours\]***

Pre-readings assigned are** blog articles.** Participants are recommended to complete them before the session as it serves as 'bite-sized' background information, allowing participants to familiarize themselves with the concepts to be discussed. 

It would also assist participants in completing their assignment in the following 1-hour online session.

Once the schedule for the specific phase is confirmed, you will be notified to proceed to download the assignment template and have your first attempt at completing the specific module.

What if you are completing the form and do not understand the purpose or requirement of the field that you are completing?

###### Objectives of Session

The objective is to fully understand the purpose and requirements of each entry in the assignment template before you attend the corresponding online workshop.

You may wonder why you are doing the template when the lesson has not yet been conducted.  It will also allow you to contextualize your business environment and ask related questions with the help of the pre-reading material provided.

To complete Module 2, participants must attend two (2) online workshop sessions (three hours per session).  All sessions are compulsory and run on a pre-determined schedule. There would not be a repeat or substitute session for anyone who missed it.

In addition, you are required to:

- Submit your completed assignment template (via eCampus) to the facilitator within two days after the Facilitated Online session. 
- Do note that you should have completed the template (do not submit it) before you attend the online session.

#### Operational Resilience Audit for Financial Institutions

Post-COVID-19, various regulatory developments have impacted the financial services industry, such as refining the management of disruptions, increasing interconnectedness and third-party/ outsourcing dependencies and dependencies on IT.  This emphasises that operational resilience will remain a significant concern for the board, regulators, policymakers, investors and customers.

The challenge is organizations' approaches to dealing with differing regulations globally. In terms of resilience structure, organizations have looked at their governance frameworks and ensured they are fit for purpose. They utilise stress and scenario testing to assess their capabilities, which is more than their existing business continuity and crisis management programs.

The entire process is redesigned with pre-reading (at your own time and pace) and preparatory work (rather than one hour doing the work in class) supported by proprietary guidance notes. In fact, after several cohorts, the content from those who had attended our other advanced-level courses highlights a better way to provide the same outcome.

**Instructors**: Note that instructors delivering the modules will remain the same as those providing the onsite training.  At BCM Institute, most instructors still practise BCM and risk management professionals (in this case, operational resilience and operational risk) with a minimum of 12 years of direct BCM experience as they hold regional or global resilience responsibilities.

**International Participation**: Another significant change will be the participation of more international delegates compared to the traditional majority of Asian participants.  Be expected to discuss and work as teams from around the world.
