[CITREP+] [SkillsFuture Credit] What Funding Is Available for Attending the Advanced Level CM  Certification Course [CM-5000]?

The opportunity to attend the advanced level crisis management (CM) course with expert level certification is now made affordable to Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs).

SkillsFuture Credit aims to encourage individual ownership of skills development and lifelong learning. Introduced in 2015, all Singaporeans aged 25 and above will receive an opening credit of S$500.  Know more about SkillsFuture Credit Scheme.

From 1 April 2020, eligible Singaporeans can start using their one-off SkillsFuture Credit top-up.  A one-off SkillsFuture Credit top-up of $500 will be provided to every Singapore Citizen aged 25 years and above.

What is CM-5000 Course?

New call-to-actionThe Crisis Management Expert Implementer course or better know as course code CM-5000 is the most comprehensive course which provide the three level of competency "Know-Do-Manage."

It ground the participants with the necessary CM fundamentals and progressively, work toward introducing the essential steps of developing CM strategies. It will also teach on designing and implementation of CM plans.

Am I Eligible for CITREP+ Funding?

All Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents (PRs) are eligible for CITREP+ funding.

For company-sponsored, do note that those working in the Singapore Government agencies are not eligible for CITREP funding.

However, if you are working in the government sector and would like to continue to pursue CITREP+ funding, you can continue this funding application as a a "self-sponsored" Singaporean or PR independent from your organisation.  The claiming of the course fee (SGD 850 or SGD 1155) after funding is subjected to individual internal policy. 

Course Fee

CM-5000 3DThe course fee before funding is Singapore Dollar SGD 3,850.  This pricing is applicable to all participants globally.

 

Training Grant Available

The grant is applicable for both individual and corporate-sponsored.  The tables below provide a detailed breakdown in the funding support for:

  • Self-sponsored applicants; and
  • Company-sponsored applicants.

 

Grants for Self-sponsored Applicants

 

Criteria Funding support Fee Payable

Singaporeans / PRs 40 years old and above

Up to 90% of nett payable course fees capped at SGD 3,000 per trainee

Funding amount: SGD 3,000

Course fee payable after funding: SGD 850

Singaporeans / PRs 39 years and below

Up to 70% of nett payable course fees capped at SGD 3,000

Funding amount: SGD 2,695 (Up to 70%)

Course fee payable after funding: SGD 1155

Do note that all participants will need to pay the full course fees upfront (5 working days before the start of the course to BCM Institute) and IMDA will reimburse within 30 days starting from successful date of claim.

Claim After CITREP+ and SkillsFuture Credit [Applied to Blended learning]

After Skillsfuture and CITREP+ Funding , you are looking at paying:

  • SGD 350 (Above 40 years of age)
  • SGD 655 (Below 39 years of age)

 

Frequently Asked Questions?

 

BCM institute is the only BCM institute offering BCM and CM training funded by two funding agencies; namely SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) and IMDA (CITREP+). 
 
These are some of the questions often asked by potential participants with regards to competency-based training (with WSQ government funding from SkillsFuture Singapore) versus certification course (with funding from CITREP+ funding from IMDA).
  • For my CM program office (Senior CM Team) , can I have this course conducted in-house for my team managing the corporate or organisation-level crisis management programme?
    • It is possible as long as there is at least 6 confirmed participants enrolled for the course.
    • As such course requires us to deploy more than one senior and experienced CM professional with no conflict of interest to your organisation, do speak to the BCM Institute's training team.
