Crisis Communication Certified Specialist (CCCS)

The Crisis Communication Certified Specialist (CCCS) certification is designed and developed for middle management, department representatives, business unit coordinators, Crisis Management/ Business Continuity/ Disaster Recovery/Crisis Communication managers and planners.

Candidates will be imparted with essential skills and knowledge of risk analysis, testing and exercising, and keeping CC plans current. Candidates will also be introduced to the fundamental concepts of developing CC strategies, designing and implementing CC plans, and preparing and conducting awareness and training programs.

Pre-requisites for CCCS

CC-300: Crisis Communication Implementer course.

To apply for your CCCS credential, you should have one year at least of Crisis Communication (CC) or Business Continuity Management (BCM) professional experience and can describe the implementation and your role in at least 3 of the BCM Body of Knowledge (BoK)

How to be Certified

  • Formal Education (attend and complete the CC-300: Crisis Communication Implementer course).
  • Examination (attempt and pass the Qualifying CCCS examination).
  • Show proof of at least 1-year of verifiable CC/BCM experience.
  • Make a payment of SGD 75 (non-refundable) application processing fee.

Formal Education

  • Sign up for the CC-300 course and complete the two modules (M1 to M2),
  • Pay the Course Fees before starting the course.
  • Be assigned login credentials to start the eLearning for Module 1 
  • Answer quizzes at the end of each sub-module of Module 1
  • Continue to complete Module 2 within the schedule.
  • Sit for the examination at the end of the course.

Examination

To sit for the Examination, a candidate must:

  • Be competent in the Competency Level (CL):
    • Foundation(CL 1)
    • Intermediate (CL 2)
    • including the three BCM Body of Knowledge (BCM BoK)
  • Attempt the online practice quiz at least once

Certification


To be issued a certificate, a candidate must:

  • Pass the CCCS qualifying examination with a required passing score of 75% out of 100- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Submit a non-refundable Application Processing Fee
  • Submit the Certification Application Form to certification team
  • Describe three out of seven of BCM Body of Knowledge (BCM BoK) as experience
  • Select two references for each BCM BoK (references may be repeated for all three of seven BCM BoK).

Fee Payment


Application Processing Fee: SGD 75. (Not included in course fees and non-refundable even if the application is rejected)
  Annual Maintenance Fee: SGD 75 (Applicable after your first year of certification)
