Achieving the Right IT Disaster Recovery Certification

IT DR training is to equipped the participants with the necessary skill to designed and help organizations to establish and maintain a high degree of DR capabilities in IT services in order to support its business missions.

These are the three certification awarded by BCM Institute in the area of IT Disaster Recovery Planning.

Disaster Recovery Certified Planner

The Disaster Recovery Certified Planner (DRCP) certification is designed for middle management, department representatives, business unit coordinators, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery managers and planners. Candidates will be imparted with essential skills and knowledge of business impact analysis, risk analysis, testing and exercising, and keeping DR plans current. Candidates will also be introduced to the key concepts of developing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies, design and implementation of BC plans, preparing and conducting awareness and training programs.

Disaster Recovery Certified Specialist 

The Disaster Recovery Certified Specialist (DRCS) certification is designed for middle management, department representatives, business unit coordinators, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery managers and planners. Candidates will be imparted with essential skills and knowledge of business impact analysis, risk analysis, testing and exercising, and keeping DR plans current. Candidates will also be introduced to the key concepts of developing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies, design and implementation of BC plans, preparing and conducting awareness and training programs. This course is a pre-requisite course for the DRP-400 course.

Disaster Recover Certified Expert

 
The Disaster Recovery Certified Expert (DRCE) certification is designed for IT Disaster Recovery managers, planners, and project managers. Candidates will be imparted with essential skills in higher level activities and tasks; this includes DR program management; media handling; raising business awareness; crisis coordination and escalation management; coordination with external agencies. Many of these tasks demand a higher level of maturity and experience; that are likely to be possessed by professionals supporting, implementing and managing organization-wide programs. A professional with Expert status will be expected to have the skills to maintain awareness of IT DRP and BCM issues, and keep current with IT DRP and BCM practices as they evolve in the future.
