Dear Community Care Service Providers,

Agency for Integrated Care (AIC), in conjunction with BCM Institute, invites you to register for the upcoming training workshop on "Community Care Emergency Preparedness (EP) Workshop & Table-Top Exercise (TTX)" to be held on 1 July (whole day) and 2 July (half day}, 2019. This will be followed with a table-top exercise on 23 July 2019 (half day).

The last decade has seen pandemic incidents crop up with alarming frequency - the 2003 SARS outbreak that rocked Singapore, Hong Kong, China, and several other countries to its core, the 2009 Swine Flu (H1N1) pandemic, the Zika virus scare of 2016, and the local Monkeypox case this May 2019, that resulted in 22 people quarantined. No Community Care Service Provider can afford to be caught unprepared by the very real possibility of a pandemic affecting their operations.

A robust emergency response plan, coupled with regular testing and validation will help to ensure that Community Care Service Providers are more resilient to the ever-changing environment.

Overview of Programme

AIC 2018 Briefing (2)This one and half day Emergency Preparedness (EP) workshop is designed to ensure that participants learn the fundamentals of emergency response. The primary focus is on developing and testing a pandemic response plan. The instructor will also briefly touch on how the plan relates to other plans for haze and fire.

Participants would gain competency in testing the pandemic response plan through the follow-up half day table-top exercise (TTX).
