What is the advanced level BCM certification course?

This course is a BCM holistic course that combines both the implementer as well as advanced level course in 1 sitting. Also known as the BCM-5000 ISO 22301 Business Continuity System Management Expert Implementer course, it combines both the BCM-300 ISO 22301 Business Continuity System Management Implementer and BCM-400 ISO 22301 Business Continuity System Management Manager course.

Do I get the Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE) Certification automatically?

Even though it is an advanced-level certification course, it does not allow one to get the BCCE certificate automatically.

The course prepares one to have the necessary theoretical understanding of implementing and managing a BCM plan. The follow-up qualifying examination endorses that understanding, but to obtain the certification, one has to show his/her three years of BCM experience in an application form and send in an application processing fee of SGD150 to the certification department (certification@bcm-institute.org).

To know more about how to get the certification you need, check out the blog:

So what do I get after the course and what does it mean?

As the course prepares one to have the basic theoretical understanding of the implementation and management of BCM, passing the Qualifying BCCE exam would automatically get you the Business Continuity Certified Planner (BCCP) certificate*.

There are no application fees attached to obtaining the certificate, but you would be needed to make an SGD50 annual payment to maintain its validity.

In order for you to obtain the Business Continuity Certified Specialist (BCCS) or the Business Continuity Certified Expert (BCCE), all you need to do is send in your application form and application fees for the respective certificate you wish to upgrade to. This can be done when it is time for you to renew your current certificate and you have met the minimum BCM experience for the certificate you wish to upgrade to. You do not need to attend any other courses after attending the BCM-5000 course and passing the Qualifying BCCE exam.

*NOTE: The BCCP certificate is needed for Singaporeans and Singapore PR who are claiming their CITREP+ funding. For further clarifications, please drop an email to programme.sg@bcm-institute.org
