CBF 6: Information Systems & Records Management

In the event of a disruption or disaster, ensuring the continuity of Bandtree Sdn Bhd’s information systems and records management operations is essential to sustaining core business activities and supporting other dependent functions. CBF-6: Information Systems & Records Management underpins the digital and physical flow of information across the organisation.

Purpose of Chapter

This chapter outlines the minimum resources required to restore and maintain these critical services during a disaster scenario.

The specified resources are crucial for re-establishing ICT infrastructure, application systems, data access, and compliance functions within acceptable recovery timelines.

These include, but are not limited to, staffing, workspace, communication tools, computing equipment, and specialised systems or facilities.

Each sub-critical function within this CBF has been analysed to ensure that the minimum resource requirements align with the recovery strategies and business impact assessment outcomes previously established.

Here is a table detailing the Critical Business Function: CBF-6 Information Systems & Records Management with its associated sub-processes and minimum resource requirements:

Summing Up ...

The identification and allocation of minimum resource requirements is a fundamental component of Bandtree’s business continuity strategy for CBF-6: Information Systems & Records Management.

These resources ensure that critical ICT operations, data protection measures, and compliance controls can be resumed with minimal delay, thereby reducing the potential impact on internal operations and external stakeholders.

By documenting and validating these requirements, Bandtree enhances its disaster preparedness and ensures a structured response during disruptions.

This proactive approach not only safeguards information integrity and system functionality but also reinforces organisational resilience, enabling the company to continue delivering essential services to clients and stakeholders, even under adverse conditions.
