Business Continuity Certified Auditor (BCCA)

The Business Continuity Certified Auditor (BCCA) certification is to provide the accreditation for compliance, financial and IT auditors responsible for reviewing and auditing the organisation’s business continuity management (BCM) program.  BCM professionals at organisation and business unit level assigned to conduct internal review and audit requirements for their ISO22301 BCM system (BCMS) should be certified with this credential.  
 
Middle management, department representatives, business unit coordinators, Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Disaster Recovery managers and planners with auditing and reviewing the ISO22301 BCMS. Candidates should have successfully completed BCM-8030: ISO 22301 Business Continuity Management System Auditor course and had met the necessary requirement for the auditing and BCM experience.

Pre-requisites for BCCA

The pre-requisites are:

  • Attend and complete the:New call-to-action
  • BCM-8030 ISO22301 BCMS Auditor course
    The course participants must pass the Qualifying BCCA examination before applying for the certification.
  • Have at least one year of business continuity/ IT Disaster Recovery
  • Be able to describe your implementation and role in at least 3 of the BCM Body of Knowledge (BCM BoK)
  • Send in the SGD 75 DRCE Certification Application Processing Fees

How to be Certified

To become a BCCA-certified professional, a candidate must complete four separate processes:

Formal Education
  • Attend and complete the BCM-8030 ISO22301 BCMS Auditor course
  
Examination
  • Attempt and pass the Qualifying BCCA examination
 BCCA Business Continuity Certified Auditor Certification (Size 75)
  • Show proof of at least one year of verifiable experience
  • Make a payment of SGD 75 (non-refundable) application processing fee.
  • Submit the BCCA application form to the certification team for review by the independent Certification Review Committee member.
  • Complete review and approval by the Certification Review Committee member (which may take six to eight weeks)
  • Invite to accept the BCCA award

Formal Education

  • Sign up for the BCM-8030 course and complete the four modules (M1 to M3)
  • Be assigned login credentials to start the eLearning for Module 1 
  • Answer quizzes at the end of each sub-module of Module 1
  • Continue to complete Modules 2 and 3 within the schedule.
  • Sit for the examination at the end of the course.

Examination

To sit for the Examination, a candidate must:

  • Be competent in the Competency Level (CL):
    • Foundation(CL 1)
    • Intermediate (CL 2)
    • Advanced (CL 3)
      including the five BCM Body of Knowledge (BCM BoK)
  • Attempt the online practice quiz at least once

Certification

To be issued a certificate, a candidate must:

  • Pass the BCCA qualifying examination with a required passing score of 75% out of 100- Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
  • Submit a non-refundable Application Processing Fee
  • Submit the Certification Application Form to certification team
  • Describe three out of seven of BCM Body of Knowledge (BCM BoK) as experience
  • Select two references for each BCM BoK (references may be repeated for all three of seven of the  BCM BoK).

Application Processing Fee via PayPal Application Processing Fee: SGD 75. (Not included in course fees and non-refundable even if the application is rejected)
  Annual Maintenance Fee: SGD 75 (Applicable after your first year of certification)
